In the holidays my mum, my dad, my brother and I went to Waihi Beach. Mum taught us how to dig up crabs in the right place and if they were home we would flick them out off the stick. The crabs had a square shaped shell on top. My Mum said the female crabs have a little black line underneath. They have eight legs. It was cool how they burry themselves under the sand. First they make a hole big enough to fit in, then they crawl in and cover themselves up.
