Tuakana Teina

I put myself at Tupu because I know that I can make the right choices but I don't always make the right choices. My goal is to get to Tuakana by trying to always make the right choices. If I make it to Tuakana I will be able to help others that are only on Tupu or Teina because I will be a expert. Teina means that you are still learning to make the right choices in Marama and that you need help with your learning. Tupu means that you arn't quite at Tuakana but you can get there and that you might need to ask for help so then when someone else is stuck on that same thing you will be a expert. Tuakana means that you are a expert in your learning so you can help others that are on Tupu and Teina. If you are Tuakana then you will be able to listen to music and do things that Tupu or Teina might not be able to do because you are trusted by the teachers.

Weekly Goal Reflection

My Goal for this week is to get two blog posts done so that I can get ready to do another two for next week. I have been trying to get as much blog posts done as I can. Another goal for me is to try and not sit with my friends because then I will be able to focus more on my learning without sitting next to my friends. In Marama our goal for all of us is to be brave by sitting next to people that we don't usually sit with and work with people that we don’t usually work with.  

Multiple Intelligences

My three highest results were

1. Logical Smart 
2. Body Smart 
3. Linguistic Smart 

Logical Smart is my highest smart because I am a pretty good mathematician and I like to get as much help as I can if I am stuck on something in maths.

Body Smart is my second highest smart because I love giving any sport a go and I like to be active.

Linguistic Smart is my third highest smart because I am good at spelling and I understand the meaning of words.

One Word

My one world for me this year will be Sports. I choose this word because I like playing sports and I love Rugby. Im also starting to like playing Soccer. I think this will help my learning because when I play Rugby I have to show resilience and connect with the people in my Rugby team.

My Pepeha

This is my Pepeha and I learnt where my parents are from. I also learnt that I am from more than one place.

Waitangi Day

Waitangi Day is a special day for New Zealand. It started in the 1840s and is a agreement between the British and the Maori. Waitangi Day is on the 6th of February. Some modern day examples of Waitangi Day are

• When you want to build a house on some land you have to ask and agree on the size of the house is you want to build.

How To Grow A Brain

Some ways to grow your brain are

• Challenge yourself 
• Get a good sleep 
• Drink heaps of water 
• Stay hydrated
• Take brain breaks often

   

      

Waitangi Day
